Maverick was born to dress as Scooby!

He joined up with Velma and Daphne for a fun day at the office.

We had a fun day being silly.

How did I get so lucky to have a dog who truly enjoys dressing up?

Tortoise babies??

I’ve been expecting Rosie to lay some eggs after all the mating I’ve been witnessing! 

I’m not sure why she laid them on the cement, but they got crushed :( But really, what would I do with 5  quarter-sized tortoises free-roaming my lanai?

Mavie was grumpy one morning and didn’t want to eat his breakfast, so I put him in the car and took him to the office. 

He was such a good boy, just hanging out.

By afternoon, he was pretty bored of me sitting at a computer and took a snooze in the sunshine.

We practiced Halloween costumes that evening. He, for some reason, loves to dress up!

He particularly liked the construction worker look!

Then, around 8:30, like clockwork, he out himself to bed. Snuggled up with Sheba’s puffin. Sweet boy, just going along with whatever crazy idea I have!

Birthday, continued!

Lesley made a very fancy post-bday dinner, with decorations and all.

Food forest

I participated in a conference at Florida Gulf Coast University today and took a field trip to their food forest. This is a student-led project that provides fresh fruits and vegetables to the dining hall and on-campus farmers market. They had all sorts of neat things growing there.

The Big 3-6!

I am so lucky to celebrate my bday over and over with lots of friends. This year, they took things to a new level!

On my actual birthday, the girls and I had a nice Italian feast at D’Amicos, complete with bottomless wine, and then on to a Magic Mike show. It was quite a night and ended with dancing at Mercato. 

If only I was turning 29-again, we could do these big nights more often :)
