Mobile, Alabama

I worked with 5 other Reserves to write a grant and we were awarded $100,000 to host Teachers on the Estuary workshops at each site.
The first workshop took place in Weeks Bay, Alabama. Such a different place than I'm used to! Quiet, simple, and not vegetarian-friendly! It was a good trip, though. Looking forward to seeing the other Reserves throughout the Gulf this summer!

Mom's visit

The dogs greeted her at the airport!
We cleaned out the garage and had a big sale.
We visited Aunt Rose and Aunt Barb in Palmetto.
Went to the flea market and saw Aunt Barb's new house.
Mom worked with me at the Batfish Bash and raised lots of money.
She took photos of my STAR award in my office.
And soaked up a lot of sun at the beach!
It was so fun having her here for two months!

Law Enforcement Day

We went to the gun range with the Sherriff's Office.

I learned how to shoot a fancy weapon from the SWAT team. I had never even heard of AR-15!

Our class really bonded that day. We toured the jail and experienced a taser.

VIPs at FGCU game

One of the many perks of Leadership Collier, are the connections! One of my classmates invited us to the President's Suite for the last women's basketball game of the season.

There was a full spread of food and drink, and the College President even joined us for this photo op (he's in the middle with the light blue shirt).
