Halloween

I played a construction-worker by day at the office and Devil by night, handing out candy in the driveway...



We had tons of candy ready to go, Jamie and I, all of our favorite kinds of course.



Mavie and Sheba sported their spooky Halloween collars, even though their barks frightened the children!






And we carved jack-o-laterns!

Chili cook-off

While I did not win against the gator, buffalo, turkey, or beef chilis, everyone thought I made some darn good veggie chili! The weather has been cooler and it was delicious!






We had a nice turnout of "tasters" and I was looking forward to having more of my Chipotle Chili the next day...






... Until I dropped the crockpot getting out of the car and smashed the side of it!

I just added a new red crockpot to my Xmas wish list :)

Happy Birthday!

Thank you everyone for the cards and gifts- I just love celebrating my birthday the entire month of October!



I traditionally purchase a fun gift for myself and this year I had the idea of a beer fridge for my newly renovated Florida Room.



I picked out this red one, but the reviews were terrible. Cute, but not functional.



After loads of online research, I bought this one- complete with site-to-door free shipping. Brilliant since it was too big to fit in my car, I thought. However, it arrived with 4 major dents, so I returned it...



... For this beauty. But this one, I decided after a week, was too small inside, and too loud, so I returned it, too!



And now I am the very proud owner of this swanky wine fridge- and I just love it! It holds a lot, keeps things chilled, quietly, and is organized inside, with movable shelves and even a blue neon light for show.

And I ordered new blinds with my birthday money- stay tuned!
